I just have to respond. I am a Canadian/American, living in NC. I totally know what you’re talking about. I’ve tried to explain the Cougar boot phanom to my NC husband, but he didn’t get it, until reading your article. I went through a similar experience, having to wear a church jacket on a band trip to Boston, with the band wearing uniform jackets that were optional, but I feel for you about the boots. I also really wanted a Roots article of clothing and couldn’t even think of it, until adulthood when my husband and I drove up to Canada after the 2002 winter olympics and got one on a major sale. So I am proudly wearing my 2002 Roots jacket in support of the Canadian Olympiads.
I’m sure you have heard of Heather Armstrong, but if you are like me and live in a media bubble that doesn’t extend much past The Jonas Brothers and the Food Network, then here is a link to her blog. She is hilarious – your style is very much like hers…perhaps you are the next blogging superstar!
I just love your style! So funny. Refreshing! I am following your blog. I was wondering if I could copy your blog button to my blog. I know it isn’t the traditional grab the code Blog Button, so I wanted to ask I read your legal stuff and I got scared because you might know someone that knows someone LOL Sounds like a mafia contact to me HeeHee. Can’t wait to read some more of your posts. Excuse me while I stalk your blog. It seems only bloggers can honestly stalk blogs and get away with it LOL Have a great week!!
This is so good!!! I laughed out loud and loved the photos.

Your writing and more so your sense of humor is nothing short of amazing. Thank you for that small bit of sunshine on an otherwise gloomy day
